Sponsored by OCR and the voice of careers guidance professionals, the Institute of Career Guidance (ICG), this first ever National Career Guidance Show (NCGS) will showcase one of the fastest growing qualifications in the UK – OCR Nationals.
Visitors to the OCR stand (75) will discover this unique suite of KS3-KS5 qualifications which support a practical, motivating approach for learners and provide transferable skills relevant to FE, HE and the workplace. A selection of thought-provoking OCR Nationals case studies, presented by OCR's Principal Moderators, will be available to tell the tale of this exciting skills-assessed suite of qualifications. Competitions and a special prize draw to win an iPod touch will also be on offer for stand visitors.
Key speakers, Greg Watson (OCR Chief Executive) and Pauline Tait (ICG Policy and Development Manager), will together explore the importance of a dynamic qualifications landscape – they will consider the importance of choice, recognising that all learners are different, and that good career advice and guidance are essential in helping individuals, employers and the UK economy.
